Yoga
Yoga means addition - addition of energy, strength and beauty to body, mind and soul. - Amit Ray
Practicing yoga is an amazing way to help you feel happier and feel better about yourself. It is a great way to exercise, developing core strength, flexibility and balance. It improves your posture, helps to promote better sleep and can reduce stress, digestive problems, headaches and the number of colds and viruses you get. For me, I also found that it was great for weight loss and improved my skin. There are lots more benefits of yoga - it's just fabulous!
I have been practicing yoga since 2002 and decided to share what an incredible activity it is by becoming a yoga teacher. Now I can help others to achieve the benefits of practicing yoga for themselves.
I teach the following yoga styles:
Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Power Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Hatha Yoga and Modified Ashtanga Yoga.
I also teach preventative stretch and movement classes.
I deliver yoga classes for fitness, lunchtime and after-work classes in corporate offices in Central London and one-on-one yoga classes for clients in their own homes. Because I'm a dancer, I also tailor yoga classes for dancers, focussing on foot grounding, ankle strength and opening up the chest for a strong top line.
In the summer, it's great to practice yoga outdoors!
My yoga philosophy is:
I will provide an access to yoga to those who want it, to help others become healthier and happier.

There are too many benefits of yoga for me to mention them all. I have listed a few at the top of the page. The best way to find out is to try it for yourself!
There are lots of different types of yoga, so there is likely to be one that suits everyone.
My classes are relaxed with a focus on correct alignment while building up strength and flexibility.

Benefits of
corporate
yoga
Many corporate environments involve sitting for long periods of time and using a computer. Taking time out during the day to move your body can ease tension, release a stiff neck, improve bad posture and generally make bodies feel better!
My classes could be anything from a basic stretch session in your boardroom at lunchtime or a yoga class in a meeting room after work.

yoga
One-on-one yoga classes are tailored to your exact requirements and ability. I can visit your home or you can come to my studio.
This is great if you have a specific focus requirement or injury to help you heal better.
You can have several classes or just one every now and again.
This will help you feel when your pose is correct so that you can align yourself to work on your own practices at home.

Benefits of
yoga
for dancers
Every dancer relies on strength, flexibility, balance and confidence in the ability of their own body. Great posture is also really key to being a graceful dancer.
Yoga helps improve these things as well as stability, leg and ankle strength and opens out the chest for a great top line. Unlike when you are dancing, practicing yoga has movements which are conscious and deliberate, with time to check correct form. It's an excellent complement to improving your dance technique.
